Memo
to the then community sales manager
5
August 2000
Below is the list of items we talked
about during our pre-construction meeting on 14 July 2000. You have
indicated that I should talk to the site supervisor at the pre-dry wall
inspection meeting, however, I see that work on the house is progressing
without any remedies being applied, the brick front went-up without any
corrections to the bowed windows in the master bedroom. I was hoping to
restore good workmanship before it is too late.
-
Gap in the eastern wall of the
house between roof framing and the wall header, extending from the
front bedroom to the rear bedroom.
-
Arching of the lower sill of all
three windows in the master bedroom.
-
Out-of-square windows of the front
bedrooms.
-
Out of square basement sliding
door.
-
Squeaks in the Silent Floor
System, first floor.
-
Sagging of the first floor sub
floor boards
In addition to the above, I have
noticed the following recently:
-
Hole in the dining room sub floor,
approximately 6 x 3 inches, not a heating vent opening,
-
Loss of the edge of the second
step of the stairs between the 1st and 2nd
floors.
Thank
you in advance for addressing the above. |

Memo
to the then community sales manager
22
August 2000
The following are post drywall and
trim comments, is it possible to correct before it is too late:
-
The bowed master bedroom windows
have not been straightened. We talked about this prior to installing
the brick front, then before and during, the pre drywall walkthrough.
Now the window sill trim has been installed and the problem is not
fixed. Will it ever?
-
The drain pipe for the washer
spill tub in the laundry room is located in the area of the dryer.
-
The dryer vent pipe is located in
the ceiling, not at the bottom of the wall, like other homes of the
same model.
-
Extended hallway light box is not
installed.
-
Due to the delinquency of
receiving and installing the 9000 windows, the security sensors for
these windows had to be retrofitted, which resulted in damage to the
existing drywall.
-
The electrical wall outlet above
the desk in the kitchen will not be usable when a wall phone is used
in the wall phone jack since it is located right next to it.
Thank you.
